How to clean Zamp Solar Panels

Solar panels are typically angled upward or mounted flat on a roof. This orientation makes them more prone to bird droplets and a build-up of pollen and dirt. Any build up on the glass surface will reduce the amount of light hitting the panel and in turn will decrease the solar efficiency output up to 30% or more. By cleaning and maintaining rooftop solar panels or portable panel kits you will ensure the best output available from your investment. 

Legacy or OBSIDIAN SERIES Roof Top:

We recommend to use a mixture of warm water and a good quality automotive soap applied with a soft cloth twice a year or more depending on your location. Do not use any harsh chemicals or a power washer when cleaning the panels as this could damage the anti reflective coating applied to the glass.

Legacy Portable Kit:

Clean the solar panels with a good quality glass cleaner such as Perfect Glass applied with a soft cloth. For stubborn tree sap or pitch, remove with 100% isopropyl alcohol and a soft cloth.

OBSIDIAN SERIES  Portable kits:

We recommend "Perfect Glass" for the solar panel and mixture of warm water and a good quality automotive soap applied with a soft cloth for the case/stand.
